Deer hunting is very popular in Nebraska. One of our students, Noah McPeek, went deer hunting at age 14. On October 27th, he decided to go hunting with his crossbow and
find some deer to kill. Later that evening at seven p.m., he spotted two deer coming out of the clearing as he was about to be finished for the day. He took aim even though he was
afraid at how large and aggressive the buck was. The buck was very close to Noah. Finally, Noah used his crossbow and killed the deer. The deer ran for a few yards then fell. Noah’s
uncle, dad, and Noah himself field dressed the deer and butchered it together. This moment was special to Noah because it was quality time with his dad and uncle, and he was happy to spend quality time in nature talking with God.
