Damar Hamlin's Accident and Recovery
On January 2, 2023, Damar Hamlin collapsed in the middle of the field at 8:55 P.M. After a routine tackle during the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals NFL football game he was down on the field for nearly 20 minutes before he was able to be transported to a hospital. He was in two different hospitals for nine days. The doctors thought that the blows to the chest could trigger abnormal heart rhythms that can cause cardiac arrest. So, there's a whole host of things that they want to evaluate before they decide on the cause of the injury. There were so many people who prayed for Damar and his family and so many people went to see him at the hospital and thought of him. He was out of the hospital almost two weeks after the accident. He has recovered well enough to go to the stadium almost every day since the time he was hurt.
