WAYS TO HAVE A GREAT SUMMER

Summer is finally here! The school year is coming to an end. We have had a great school year, but now it is time to enjoy the summer season! To make sure you get the most out of your summer break, below are a few ideas.

Relax. The purpose of summe

r is to give students and teachers a break from the busy, sometimes stressful time of learning. You can use this time as a mental break from the school year, when information is being crammed in your brain. Take some time to relax and enjoy a bonfire, watch a movie, read a book, and get plenty of sleep.

Be Adventurous. Summer is an awesome time to try new things. You can go on a road trip, go camping, or take a hike in the woods. Doing these things is not only fun, but it can also help you get away from the stresses that life may bring.

Get Outside. Getting outside is not only enjoyable for people of all ages, but it is also healthy for you. You can play with friends, go swimming or even go for a nice run. The outdoors can increase imagination by giving you so much to do. Outside exercise is good way to get that extra Vitamin D.

Be Productive. Summer is not a time to leave projects undone. It is the best time to get your room clean, mow the lawn, clean your car, make a craft, or work on bigger projects around the house. 2 Chronicles 15:7 says, “Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.”

Be Social. During the school year we tend to be around the same people every single day. Summer is a great opportunity to meet new friends.

Earn Some Money. For older students, this is great opportunity to get a job. Instead of wasting your time, get out and find some jobs. Younger students can also make money by having a lemonade stand, doing yard work, or any other odd jobs.

Continue to Learn. Although summer is a break from school, it should not be a break from learning. We need to continue to learn and improve. You can review what you already learned, read books, or watch informative videos.

No matter what you decide to do this summer, remember to make the most out of your break with family and friends. Happy Summer!
