Miss Sarah Blake is the new receptionist and teacher here at First Baptist School. She graduated from West Coast Baptist College in May 2017 with a Bachelors in Secondary Education. Miss Blake teaches math and physical education. She is also the JV volleyball coach. Some of her hobbies include: playing with her dog, Rocky, practicing piano, and enjoying any sport. An interesting fact about Miss Blake is that she got a ticket for going over 100 mph. (Don’t try this at home!) Her life verse is Luke 18:27, “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Miss Blake’s advice to the students would be to not worry about dating but focus on your schooling.
We have a new primary teacher, Miss Leah Gillet. She graduated in 2017 from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. One of Miss Gillet’s favorite subjects to teach is Bible. Some of her favorite things to do are eating, shopping, and reading. An interesting fact about Miss Gillet is that when she was younger a sheep pushed her into a cactus bed. (Ouch! Her life verse is Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Miss Gillet’s advice to the students is to trust in the Lord always and take each day little by little.
